Common Battery Replacement Failure Reasons and when to RMA
Devices
The following are common battery replacement failures:
•
An unauthorized battery was used and Pulse did not detect battery health levels that match
the standard, new, authorized battery health levels.
The device would remain in the "Less
than 30-Days" status.
•
An unauthorized battery was used and Pulse did initially detect battery health levels that
match the standard, new, authorized battery health levels, but then the battery health
levels immediately dropped below the standard, new, authorized battery health levels.
The
device may have initially moved to the "Good" status (with a Blue battery icon) but would be
moved back to the "Less than 30-Days" status around the 11th day after the battery was changed.
•
An authorized battery was used and Pulse did initially detect battery health levels that

then the device went offline before Pulse could finish processing to complete the battery
replacement indication.
The device may have initially moved to the "Good" status (with a Blue
battery icon) but would be moved back to the "Less than 30-Days" status around the 11th day
after the battery was changed.

battery replacement, therefore Pulse did not receive or register any battery health
information.
The device would remain in the "Less than 30-Days" status.
If a battery replacement failed for a particular device, CenTrak recommends replacing the batteries
one more time with authorized batteries. If a failure occurs again, CenTrak recommends replacing the
device with a functioning device and sending the failed device back to CenTrak under RMA for further
analysis. Contact a CenTrak representative for RMA instructions.
