Due to the requirements regarding operation and
the selected protection category, “design safety - c”
as per DIN EN 13463­5, the pump is provided with
the following labelling:
Permissible ambient temperature:
­ 10 °C to + 40 °C
Impermissible media temperature: depending on
the medium (hazard class A I to A III)
­ 10 °C to + 40 °C
Attention!
Risk of explosion!
The pump must not become hot
during operation. Do not deliver
any impermissible heated media.
Attention!
Explosive atmospheres may only
occur occasionally within the pump.
Therefore, operation without liquid is
only permitted for brief periods of time.

Persistent running on empty can lead
to the destruction of the pump.
1.5 Product description of electric pump

The self­priming electric pump Cematic 12/50 Ex
is an electrically driven pump with bypass valve
for the delivery and dispensing of fuels and similar
media from storage containers.
When starting up with an empty suction line and
partially filled pump, the electric pump is able to
suction liquid over a maximum height difference
of 2 metres (filling procedure approx. 1 minute).
The pump motor is equipped with a thermal safety
and overcurrent cut­off.

­ 10 °C to + 40 °C
Impermissible media temperature: depending on
the medium (hazard class A I to A III)
­ 10 °C to + 40 °C
Permissible operation duration:
• at maximum counterpressure: 20 minutes.
• under bypass condition: maximum 2 minutes.
