5.1) Attaching the support arm to the rail top

Open mobile jaw (6) by turning handwheel (7).
Rest the fi xing clamp on top of the rail head 

so that all four support teeth 

(Ref. Fig. a) 

touch the 

rail

. Tighten the fi xing clamp fi rmly with handwheel (Ref. Fig. b).

Before mounting the rail saw on the arm, 

check that the clamp is positioned  and locked 
in a correct manner on the rail head 

(Ref. Fig. b). 

If the arm is wrongly positioned, it can cause cut-
ting which is not perfectly straight 

(Ref. Fig. c, d).

NOTE:

 The fi xing clamp of the SA-RDS support arm is designed to allow a precise and secure 

tightening of the arm on

 Vignole type rails

Girder type rails
