5.1 Transporting machine
Safety-conscious and foresighted behaviour of personnel prevents dangerous situations
during transport.
The following principles apply during transport:
•
Make sure that the machine is only transported by persons qualified to do so.
•
Secure moving parts properly.
•
If the machine was in operation prior to transportation, shut down the machine
(see Page 108: Operation > Daily shut-down).
5.2 Unpacking machine
Before setting up the machine, remove any existing transport packaging, transport locks and
transport aids.
Then check the machine as follows:
•
Is there any visible damage caused by transport?
•
Is the shipment complete? Compare the delivered parts with the delivery note.
If the machine was damaged during transport or if the shipment is incomplete, please inform
the manufacturer immediately.
Dispose of the packing material in accordance with the applicable regulations.
5.3 Requirements for environment
The environment must meet the following requirements:
•
The supporting surface is of sufficient strength to permit the sure stability of the machine
and its operator.
•
Level supporting surface.
