2) Operation

The electronic control box (1) transmits the selected work mode to the engine electronic control box (3) via the
CAN communications.
2.
The engine electronic control box (3) calculates the number of revolutions based on engine output (depending on
the mode selected) and the analogue signal (volume) from the throttle control (4).

The engine electronic control box calculates the target position of the rack, using the target number of revolutions
and the data from each detector (real number of engine revolutions, real position of the rack, fuel flow regulating
resistance), and it sends the signal to the electronic acceleration.

The electronic acceleration calculates the target position of the rack and its real position (value measured by the
rack detector) and moves the rack by turning the electric motor to adjust the quantity of fuel injected.
5.
By repeating this process, the engine electronic control box controls the electronic acceleration to obtain: real
number of revolutions = target number of revolutions.
6.
If the number of engine revolutions has become less than the number of revolutions resulting from the torque set by
the throttle control, the value of current delivered by the proportioning valve (2) becomes that of mode "L".
