With various programmes, the chair stimulates the techniques of a traditional hand massage:
TAPPinG
in tAPPinG, short tapping movements are carried out with the side of the hand, the
palm of the hand or the fist. this encourages blood circulation of the skin and softens
stiff muscles. if tAPPinG is done at lung height, this improves the release of mucus in
the lungs.
ViBRATiOn
The vibration sets entire areas of the body in even oscillations which have far-reaching
effects. Stimulating for the circulation, warming and relaxing for the muscular system.
HeATinG
A deep penetrating and heat-radiating effect in which one can perfectly relax. This
function is particularly beneficial for muscle tension due to the deep reaching effect.
KneADinG
Skin and muscle are gripped and kneaded either between thumbs and index finger or
with both hands. This massage technique is especially used to release tension.
ROLLinG
ROLLING is a pleasant alternation between tension and relaxation of the muscular sys-
tem and therefore has a soothing and relaxing effect. this technique is often used at the
end of a massage, for ensuring relaxation of the muscles and for revitalisation.
FuLL AiR / AiR KOmPReSSiOn
rising and falling air cushions have a pumping motion which produce natural muscle
reflexes. Particularly beneficial for the calf and foot area.
SHiATSu
SHIATSU (finger pressure) is a form of body therapy developed in Japan. The massage
technique consists of gentle, rhythmic stretches and rotations with a deep effect. The
objective of Shiatsu is to stimulate individual points on the body and to mobilise the
muscles.
