AMPLE OF TIMER SELECTION
Turning OFF using the timer
(Change from unit ON to unit OFF)
This function is useful when you go to sleep.
The air conditioner will be turned OFF automatically after the
selected time has elapsed.
Example:
To turn the air conditioner OFF after 5 hours:
- Hold button OFF pressed until “5.0” appears in the display;
- Press memorization button SET.
Turning ON using the timer
(Change from unit OFF to unit ON)
This function is useful when you wake up in the morning or when
you return home.
The air conditioner will be turned ON automatically after the
selected time has elapsed.
Example:
To turn the air conditioner ON after 4 hours:
- Hold button ON pressed until “4.0” appears in the display;
- Press memorization button SET.
Warnings:
- In the event of a power supply failure, the memorization of the
timer operation will be cancelled, and the unit operation LED
flashes to indicate that a failure has occurred. In this case store
the timer operation functions again.
If AUTO-RESTART has been selected after a failure, timer
operation has to be stored again.
- If the ON-OFF button
is pressed while stored timer operation
is in progress, memorization is cancelled and the air conditioner
stops.
- If the ON timer operation is memorized, the operating and timer
LEDs light up, even if the unit is not in operation.

Remote control reset button
(button P)
If, for whatever reasons, a remote control failure occurs, the initial
factory-preset conditions can be restored by pressing the
CHK
button with a sharp object (nothing appears on the display).
After releasing the
CHK
button, the mode
AUTO
and the
AUTO
fan
speed is displayed.
Automatic restart function
The unit is provided with an automatic restart function that allows
it to operate at the conditions selected before a power failure
occurred.
The unit will restart operation 3 minutes after the power supply
has been restored.
The unit is factory-supplied with this function disabled. It is
therefore necessary to select it, if the user needs it.
To select the auto restart function
Check that power is supplied to the unit. Locate the EMERGENCY
button in the lower right-hand corner under the indoor unit front
cover.
To activate the auto restart function, hold the EMERGENCY button
pressed for at least 3 seconds. The unit emits three beeps to
confirm the selection.
Use of the remote control and automatic restart function
SELECTION PROCEDURE
When the unit is OFF:
Press the EMERGENCY button
The unit starts operating (the
green LED lights up)
After about 3 seconds the unit
emits three beeps (the red
LED lights up)
The system remains ON.
To turn the unit OFF, press the EMERGENCY button again or use
the remote control.
When the unit is ON:
Press the EMERGENCY button
(the green LED lights up)
The unit stops (the green
LED is switched OFF)
After about 3 seconds the unit
emits three beeps
The system is switched OFF.
To restart the unit use the remote control.
During further operation, the red operating LED is switched ON.
The automatic restart function does not accept any instruction if
timer operation has been selected.
If operation with the swing louvres has been selected, the swing
operation is suspended at unit restart.
CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
When the unit is OFF:
Press the EMERGENCY button
The unit starts operating (the
red LED lights up)
After about 3 seconds the unit
emits three beeps
The system remains ON.
To turn the unit OFF, press the EMERGENCY button again or use
the remote control.
When the unit is ON:
Press the EMERGENCY button
The unit stops (the red LED is
switched OFF)
After about 3 seconds the unit
emits three beeps
The system is switched OFF.
To restart the unit use the remote control.
During further operation, the green operating LED is switched ON.
