FILTER DRIER

Filter drier is field supplied and must be field installed.
Warranty will be void if filter drier is not field installed.

PIPING CONNECTIONS

Complete all installation and piping work required for indoor
and outdoor units. If brazing is required pass nitrogen or other
inert gas through piping to prevent formation of copper oxide.
Unit contains R-22 holding charge do not open Schreader
valve at this time. Leak test field piping by pressure
method. Use R-22 at approximately 170kPa backed up
with dry nitrogen to a total pressure not to exceed 1690kPa.

PIPING INSULATION

No refrigerant control device is shipped with the unit. It is
to be field supplied & installed or check with the indoor
unit. Insulate suction line adequately (Fig. 8).

CONTROL CIRCUIT WIRING

Refer to wiring diagram for field supplied wiring details.
See fig. 10 & 11.

Note:- Operation of unit on improper line voltage
constitutes abuse and could affect Carrier Warranty. Do
not install unit in system where voltage may fluctuate
above or below permissible limits.

COMPLETE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

     CAUTION

THE CONTROL VOLTAGE FROM THE FAN COIL
UNIT MUST BE OF 230V. DO NOT CONNECT THE
POWER SUPPLY TO THE SIGNAL.

POWER - Unit is factory wired for voltage shown on name
plate. Provide adequate fused disconnect switch within sight
of unit, readily accessible, but out of reach of children.

Provision for locking switch open (off) is advisable to prevent
power from being turned on while unit is being serviced.

Route power wires through opening in unit side panel and
connect in unit control box (Fig. 9). Unit must be grounded.

VERY IMPORTANT!!

Make ground connection prior to any other electrical
connection.

Ensure the ground cable is 20mm longer than others.

Do not bypass or vary the protective device setting,
since unit damage may result and the guarantee
would be invalidated.

The installer should place protection elements in the
line according to the legislation in force.

All field electrical connection are the responsibility of
the installer.

BRING LINE POWER LEADS INTO UNIT

All units leave the factory with complete internal wiring.
For connection to the mains power supply use wires,
fuses and a switch of the appropriate section and
amperage.

Field wiring must comply with valid codes.

The mains supply connection cable must be H05RN-F
type (or higher) synthetic rubber insulation with
Neoprene coating accroding to EN60335-2-40.

Voltage to unit must be within voltage range as indicate
on nameplate.

Contact your local power supply company for correction of
an incorrect line voltage.

ELECTRICAL INTERCONNECTION BETWEEN UNITS
Electrically interconnect the condensing unit and the
indoor unit using wires of a section appropriate to the
indoor unit consumptions consults the wiring diagram.

IMPORTANT!!

Make sure the main electrical connection for the
assembly via the outdoor unit. Consult the wiring
diagram sent together with the unit.

Make electrical connection between units prior to
proceeding to mains supply unit connection.

To ensure the correct unit power supply (cable entry,
conductor cross section, protective devices, etc.),
consult the Electrical Data table, the wiring diagram
supplied with the unit and the applicable standards
concerning the installation of air conditioning
equipment.

WARNING !!!

TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR EQUIPMENT

DAMAGE, MAKE SURE DISCONNECTS ARE OPEN

BEFORE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ARE MADE.

IF THIS ACTION IS NOT TAKEN, PERSONAL

INJURY MAY OCCUR.

WARNING !!!

OPERATION OF THE UNIT ON IMPROPER LINE

VOLTAGE CONSTITUTES ABUSE AND IS NOT

COVERED BY CARRIER WARRANTY!!
