INSERTING BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE 
CONTROLLER

 

Before using the remote controller you must insert two 1.5V
AAA Alkaline batteries, as follows:

• Slide off and remove the battery compartment cover. 

•  Insert the batteries, making sure to follow the polarity (+,-)
markings.

•  Replace the battery compartment cover

•  Replace both batteries whenever the "Low Battery" indicator
appears.

 

OPERATING THE AIR CONDITIONER WITH 
THE REMOTE CONTROLLER

 

Turning the Air Conditioner ON:

 

•  Press the ON/OFF button 3;  ; the remote controller display
lights and the air conditioner starts operating using the last set-
ting entered.

 

Changing the Air Conditioner’s Operation Modes

 

•  Select the MODE by pressing 1   .

•  Choose the desired mode by pressing 2   .

•  Press the On/Off button   3   to transmit your selections to the
air conditioner.

 

CHANGING THE FAN SPEED

 

•  Select the FAN menu by pressing 1   .

•  Choose the desired fan speed by pressing 2   .

 

NOTE:

 

 When the air conditioner is operating in DRY mode the

fan speed can not be changed. The fan operates at Low speed in
this mode.

•  Press the ON/OFF button   3   to transmit your selections to
the air conditioner.

 

CHANGING THE TEMPERATURE SETTING

 

You can make a change of the temperature setting by pressing 2.

 

Make sure to point the remote controller toward the air condi-
tioner. The               symbol appears each time you press the button. 

 

OR

•  Select the TEMPERATURE display by pressing  1  .

1. The degree symbol (°) flashes next to the digits when the

TEMPERATURE display is selected.

• Select the desired temperature by pressing  2  .

1. The available temperature range is 54°F to 86°F.

•  Press the On/Off button   3  to transmit your selections to the
air conditioner.

 

CHANGING THE AIRFLOW DIRECTION

 

•  Select the SWEEP menu by pressing  1  .

•  Press the top side of the Up/Down button  2  : the airflow de-
flector moves up and down continuously and the airflow symbol
displays motion.

•  Press the bottom side of the Up/Down button  2  ; the airflow
deflector stops at a given angle and the airflow symbol remains
in a fixed position.

 

CAUTION

 

Do not drop the remote controller – damage to the de-
vice may result. Avoid getting the controller wet.

 

IMPORTANT

 

When making changes to the remote control settings
pay particular attention to where the selection is. If
there is no input to the control it will return to the idle
state in 10 seconds. Also remember to always point
the remote at the unit while making changes.
