Read the safety chapter carefully before using
this machine.
Each machine is subjected to a series of tests
and carefully checked before leaving our factory.
CARAT is constantly striving to develop their
machines and therefore reserves the right to
change such machines. No claims may
therefore be made on the basis of the data and
illustrations contained in this manual.
The masonry saws S-COUP
350 is a
technologically advanced machine that is suitable
for cutting ceramics, marble, granite, bricks,
concrete items and similar materials.
•
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility where
the S-COUP 350 cutter is used with any tools
other than those specified in the "CUTTING
TOOL" paragraph.
•
The S-COUP 350 is made to operate under the
conditions indicated under "TYPE OF
OPERATION ALLOWED", in the "TECHNICAL
DATA" paragraph.
•
During cutting operations, allow the machine to
rest as indicated.
•
S-COUP 350 is not made to operate continually
under a load.
•
This machine is designed to take Ø350 mm
discs. When discs with a larger diameter are
used it may be necessary to block the motor
head in a slightly higher position to prevent it
interfering with the working surface while
cutting.
DO NOT USE DIAMOND TIPPED DISCS OF
DETERIORATING QUALITY OR THAT ARE NOT
SUITABLE FOR THE SPECIFIC USE FOR WHICH THE
MANUFACTUERE SUPPLIED THEM.
USE OF DETERIORATING DISCS CAN HARM THE
OPERATOR AND DAMAGE THE MACHINE, AS WELL
AS SIGNIFICANTLY SLOWING THE WORK.
TO REDUCE THE RISKS ARISING FROM
FRAGMENTATION OF MATERIALS, USE
APPROPRIATE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES.
CONTINUOUS USE OF THIS MACHINE FOR 8
(EIGHT) HOURS RESULTS IN EXPOSURE TO
NOISE EXCEEDING 85 dB(A). IT IS THEREFORE
NECESSARY TO WEAR EAR MUFFS THAT
FULFIL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS.
The following steps are advisable:
•
During cutting, allow the carriage to move
slowly, without stopping the disc.
•
Make sure that the piece to be cut is
properly supported by the tile clamp.
Position the machine on a stable surface.
To set the machine for operating, proceed as
follows:
MAKE SURE THAT THE MOTOR HEAD IS
LOCKED IN THE LOWERED POSITION USING
THE LOCKING LEVER ON THE SIDE OF THE
MOTOR.
MAKE SURE THE WORKING SURFACE IS
LOCKED IN POSITION BY THE CARRIAGE
CLAMP.
a) Remove the machine from its packaging.
b) Loosen the locking knobs and insert the legs in
the appropriate position (Photo 1).
c)
Tighten the locking knobs.
ASSEMBLING THE MOVING WHEELS
a) remove the two wheel supports (photo 2).
b) Using a 17 mm wrench, assemble the moving
wheels (photo 3).
