1. Open the grass chute cover.
2. To prevent the rotation of the rotary cutter,
insert a high strength bar, such as a
screwdriver, into the hole “I” of the blade stay.
First, shift the failed blade, turning it around the
cup square neck bolt “J”, then insert the bar (as
shown by broken lines in the left illustration).
3. Remove the nut “K” and nut “L”, in order, with
a closed wrench or socket wrench, and then
remove blade.
4. Place a new blade under the blade stay and
insert the cup square neck bolt from the
bottom side.
5. Place the collar “M” and cap “N” to the cup
square neck bolt.
6. In order to prevent the rotation of the rotary
cutter, insert a high strength bar such as a
screwdriver, into the hole “I” of the blade stay.
First, shift the new blade, turning it around the
cup square neck bolt “J”, then insert the bar (as
shown by broken lines in the left illustration).
7. Tighten the nut “L” to the specified torque.
8. Tighten the nut “K” to the specified torque.

* Specified torque: 44.1 to 53.9 N•m (4.5 to
5.5 kgf•m)
