upper and lower reference lines
* Add only distilled water to battery
Electrical Equipment
Inspecting Battery Electrolyte and Adding Water
* Keep flames and flammable material away from battery.
* Stop using battery when the electrolyte level is below the lower limit to avoid
shortening battery life and reduce risk of explosion.
* Clean battery with wet cloth. Avoid using dry cloth, to prevent static electricity
from causing an explosion.
* Immediately wash away any battery electrolyte (diluted sulfuric acid) contacting
clothing or skin with plentiful water. Immediately wash eyes with water if
electrolyte enters eyes and call a doctor.
* When adding water to the battery, avoid exceeding upper limit level when
adding water to battery to prevent spilling and overflow which may damage
painted surfaces and corrode parts.
* Always stop the engine and turn the main switch to "OFF" before performing
maintenance.
