Inspecting Battery
1. Park machine on level ground.
2. Check the electrolyte level. If it is low, remove the head
lamp cover, and add water.
Proper battery electrolyte level: between Upper and
Lower reference lines.
Add only distilled water to battery
7.6 Adding Water to Battery
* Avoid battery fluid contact with skin or clothes to avoid burns from sulfuric acid.
In case of contact, immediately remove affected clothes and clean the affected
skin with water. Immediately wash eyes with water if fluid enters eyes and call
doctor.
* Always stop engine and turn “OFF” the main switch before checking or removing
the battery.

* Quick charging is a method to partially recharge a battery in a short time with a
large amount of current. This method should be used only in emergencies. Quick
charging will extremely shorten battery life. After quick charging, always fully
recharge the battery with the normal method as soon as possible.
* Always remove the battery from the machine before charging it to avoid damaging
electrical components and wiring.
* Connect battery cables to the correct po) and negative(-) terminals.
Reversing connections will blow the fuse and prevent charging.
* For safety, always disconnect the negative(-) terminal first, and connect the
po) terminal first. Disconnecting or connecting in the opposite order may
cause a short circuit.
* When reinstalling the battery, connect the po) and negative(-) to their
original positions. Avoid contact between terminals and other surrounding
machine parts.
* Flammable gas is generated by the battery. Keep open flames away from battery
to prevent explosions.
