Chapter 2
2-28
The 8-MB SDRAM is connected to the 32-bit data bus and is used as a CPU (IC511) work memory.
e) FLASH MEMORY (IC503)
The 8-MB FRASH MEMORY is connected to the 16-bit data bus and stores a printer control program and mask patterns.
f) SDRAM(IC501, IC502)
The 8MB SDRAM is connected to the 32-bit data bus and is used to receive image data and store mask pattern.
g) SDRAM(IC506, IC507)
The 32MB SDRAM is connected to the 32-bit data bus and is used to store the expanded image data.
h) EEPROM(IC704)
The 32-Kbit EEPROM stores the printer adjustment values.
i) Motor driver (IC702, IC707)
This drives the carriage motor, which is a DC motor.
j) Motor driver (IC702)
This drives the feed motor, which is a stepping motor.
k) Motor driver (IC709, IC710)
This drives the pump motor, which is a stepping motor.
l) Motor driver (IC703)
This motor driver is used to perform constant-current driving of the purge motor, which is a stepping motor.
m) Motor driver (IC727)
This motor driver is used to perform constant-current driving of the valve motor, which is a stepping motor.
n) Regulator (IC729)
The regulator IC generates the engine internal driving power supply (3.3 V)
o) Regulator (IC728)
The regulator IC generates the CPU (IC511) and ASIC (IC512) internal driving power supply (1.8 V)

a) Receiver ASIC (IC201, IC202)
The receiver ASIC receives and recovers the image data that has undergone differential processing by the driver ASIC (IC705, IC706) in the engine
controller, and then sends this data to the printhead.
b) Regulator IC (IC211)
The regulator IC is used to generate the discharge drive power supply (18 V) of the printhead from +26.5 V.
