The Camcorder’ s Wi-Fi Function s
* To u s e the Monitor while Out Function, an acce ss point compatible with UPnP
(Univer s al Plug and Play) and an Internet connection that can acquire global IP
addre ss e s are required.

Activate the [Monitor while Out] function.
• The fir s t time you activate the function, you will need to s et a
pa ss word and the port to be u s ed by thi s function ( s tep s 2 to 4).
If you have already completed the s etting s for the Monitor while
Out function, sk ip to s tep 5.

Touch [O K ] to open the s etting s s creen.

To enter the [Pa ss word] field, touch [Not configured]. Enter a
unique pa ss word for the Monitor while Out function and
touch [O K ].
• The pa ss word i s required for thi s function and mu s t be between
4 and 8 character s long. We recommend u s ing an 8-character
pa ss word u s ing a mix of number s and upperca s e/lowerca s e let-
ter s .
• To enter the pa ss word (and the port number in the next s tep),
u s e the virtual k eyboard (

To change the port number to be u s ed, touch [80]. Enter a
different port number and touch [O K ] twice.
• By default, the port number i s s et to 80 but you can change it if
nece ss ary.
