Cause Paper of the size or type that cannot be fed from
the multi-purpose tray or paper cassette is
specified.
Solution 1 If a paper source is specified, press [

],
and then set [

Solution 2 Press [

] to select another paper source.
Solution 3 Load paper appropriate for the paper source.

Solution Load A4 or Letter size paper in the multi-purpose

Solution 1 Open the right cover and check if the fixing unit is
installed.
Solution 2 Install the fixing unit again. If the message
appears even after installing the fixing unit again,
contact your local authorized Canon dealer for
servicing.

Cause The packing materials inside the front cover are
not removed.
Solution Remove the packing materials inside the front
cover.

Solution Remove the paper in the output tray.

not loaded in the paper source (in all the paper

Solution 1 Refill or load paper.
Solution 2 Press [

source for the same paper size or larger paper
size.
