Operating Instructions
Getting Started
When shipped as original equipment with
your bike, the SmartSense system has
been prepared to be ready right out of the
box. This means that the system will turn
on automatically when the front wheel is
turned or the front light button is pressed.
The following hardware requirements
must be met:
1. The wheel sensor must be properly
mounted and operational on the front
wheel. To test it, spin the wheel and
confirm that the green LED on the
sensor flashes.
2. The SmartSense battery must be fully
charged and locked into the cradle.
3. The cradle must be connected via
the cables to each light in the system
(front/rear). The connecting cables
must be properly aligned and inserted
into the extension cables and to the
socket of each light. Lights that fail
to come on may be an indication that
the connector or cables are improperly
aligned or inserted.
