2. Coolant system filling:
2.1. Remove the black cap on the reservoir, located on the rear of the laser.
2.2. Add distilled water up to within ½ to 1 inch of top of reservoir.
NOTE: Always use distilled water when filling the reservoir. Using water that is
not distilled will result in poor flash lamp performance, and may result in
permanent flash lamp damage.
2.3. Replace the black cap on the reservoir.
2.4. Plug the male end of the power cord into the approved outlet.
2.5. The fluid lines within the laser must now be filled with water. To do this, turn the
system on for 2 minutes then shut it off. Then repeat steps 2.1-2.5 until the water
level inside the reservoir remains at within ½ to 1 inch of top of reservoir.
3. Initial Cryogen Canister Installation:
3.1.Remove th e DCD cryogen canister from the packaging box. Be sure to read all
labels on the canister before installing into the system.
3.2. Insert canister threaded side down into the opening on the top left side of the
laser system. Turn canister clockwise until hand tight. A small amount of
cryogen might vent out. The sound of the escaping gas may be quite loud. Only
after the canister is fully seated will the gas stop venting out.
3.3. Place the cylindrical canister cap over the cryogen canister.
