10. When winching in, ensure the rope or cable loops are tight and sufficiently
spread on the drum to avoid jams, rope or cable damage or sudden release
of the rope or cable.

It is recommended to maintain the pulling vehicle running at idle when winching
to prevent battery drainage.
Pulling vehicle has to be properly blocked to avoid movement during winching.
If driver is operating winch from the vehicle (inside switch), ensure vehicle is sta-
ble, then apply brakes to secure the vehicle in place.
