5 - USE OF THE CHAINSAW
5.10 Troubleshooting
WARNING!
All the maintenance operations have to be performed by a mechanic.
FAULT
CAUSE
REMEDY
The chainsaw does not work.
a) The air regulator in the compressor is
closed.
b) The air hose is clogged.
c) The ON/OFF switch (18) is in OFF
position.
d) The inertial chain brake (28) is in
-
serted.
e) The chain (11) is not tensioned
enough.
a) Adjust the pressure regulator at 10
bar.
b) Disconnect the air hose and check
it and the couplings for inner clean-
ness.
c) Put the switch in ON position.
d) Free the brake by pulling the hand
guard (8) backwards.
e) Regulate the chain (11) tension by
using the adjusting screw (33) of the
bar (10).
The chain stops.
a) The lubrication is not enough.
The oil level in the reservoir is low.
a) Fill the reservoir up (26) by using the
tap (23).
The chainsaw is not powerful enough.
a) The air hose is dirty inside.
b) The compressor pressure is not
enough.
c) The motor is not lubricated.
a) Disconnect the air hose and blow
compressed air to remove impurities.
b) Check that the compressor pressure
reaches 10 bar.
c) Check the oil level in the compressor
lubricator.
Air leaks from the valve (16) of the
handle (17).
a) The valve (16) gaskets are worn out
or damaged.
a) Disassemble the handle (17) valve
and replace the gaskets even if only
slightly worn out.

S.r.l. Authorized Service Point.
The routine maintenance operations may be carried out by the operators.
