BOARD DESCRIPTION
RS-485 bus terminals for connecting keypads and key readers:
[+,-] bus power supply;
[A,B] data.
[1, 2, C] Connection points
It is possible to configure the two connection points available on the
device as inputs or outputs independently.
For the configuration of the connection points refer to the chapter
(configuration of inputs/outputs)
Example of use of connection points:
For addressing and acquiring the key readers and keys, see the re-
lated chapters.
The key readers must be installed in an area protected from
burglary or in a supervised area of the system, otherwise the
reference standard will become void.
SYSTEM STATUS DISPLAYING
LEDs
Meaning of the signal
Blue
Led
Indicates that scenario 1 is not active.
Indicates that scenario 1 is active.
during the output time it means that at least one
input associated to scenario 1 is open.
with the system off it shows if there are open in-
puts that belong to the areas managed by the key
reader.
Green
led
Indicates that scenario 2 is not active.
Indicates that scenario 2 is active.
during the output time it means that at least one
input associated to scenario 2 is open.
with the system off it shows if there are open in-
puts that belong to the areas managed by the key
reader.
White
led
Indicates that scenario 3 is not active.
Indicates that scenario 3 is active.
during the output time it means that at least one
input associated to scenario 3 is open.
with the system off it shows if there are open in-
puts that belong to the areas managed by the key
reader.
Red
LED
Indicates that the associated areas are off (system
off).
Indicates that at least one associated area is on
(system on or partly on).
Slow flashing to indicate that the system is on and
has detected an alarm.
Fast flashing to indicate that the system is off and
in alarm memory.
See the events list for the list of alarms. To re-
move the indication see the system management
chapter.
Off, Steady on,
Flashing on (
fast, slow)
With the transponder key reader it is possible to view the system
status through the indications given by its LEDs, as shown in the
previous table.
Depending on the programming, the display can always be kept vi-
sible (LEDs lit steady or flashing) or masked for greater safety (no
information to outsiders on the system status). The LED signals are
visible only after a scenario activation or after any other system ma-
nagement operation; after a programmed time (30 seconds max.)
they stop and the LEDs go out. Only the red alarm LED (LED 4) re-
mains visible if activated.
For tamper management use a connection point as shown in the
figure:
The LED may remain slightly lit even in stand-by due to small polari-
zation currents. It is recommended to use a Relay to drive the LEDs.
To guarantee compliance with standard EN50131 grade 3,
the tamper CANNOT be disabled.
INSTALLATION
The key reader only occupies one module in switch-boxes of any
civil series.
Connect the control unit and the key readers to the respective ter-
minals [+ AB -].
