being fitted when an airbag is active, as per Regulation ECE R 44. We would
however recommend that this car seat only be used on the rear seat of your
vehicle.
•
Use of the car seat is subject to standard ECE R 44. Certain
limitations prevail over this standard and are imposed by local or national
laws.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Group 1 stage from 9-18 kgs (Fig 2)
Place the car seat on the floor with the
backrest up against the wall, seat the child inside the car seat to verify the correct
position of the shoulder straps to suit the child’s height (Fig 5).
ADJUSTING THE SHOULDER STRAPS
To adjust the shoulder straps: Loosen the
straps pushing on the harness adjuster, situated inside the car seat and pull
towards you.(Fig 6).

Tilt to pass the straps through the Y slots in the car seat
backrest (Fig 7).
•
Release the safety key by rotating a quarter of a turn and
position in the corresponding opened position. Shown by an opened lock symbol
(Fig 8).
•
Move the safety mechanism X in to the higher position to correspond with
the height of the shoulder straps (Fig 9).
•
Lock and then verify the position of the
safety key by rotating a quarter of a turn and position in the corresponding
position. Shown by a closed lock symbol (Fig 10).
•
NB:
Make sure the X locking
system is correctly fixed within the car seat structure.
•
Finally adjust the straps
as shown in Fig 11.
HOW TO USE (Group 1 stage)
Place the car seat in the vehicle and pass the vehicle seat belt behind the backrest
and between vertical slots B & C, situated in the backrest of the car seat as
indicated in Fig 12 & 13. The diagonal vehicle belt D must restrain the lower part
of the car seat backrest, and part A must be positioned under the armrests E (Fig
14 & 15).
NB:
Pay particular attention that the seat belt is not twisted in any way.
Push the car seat back against the vehicle backrest and simultaneously pull
upwards on vehicle belt D (Fig 16 & 17).
FASTENING THE HARNESS
Place the child inside the car seat and position the
straps over the shoulders, then fix connectors L & M together and place inside
buckle N until a CLICK is heard (Fig 18). To tighten the harness, simply pull on
the end of the belt (Fig 19). To loosen the harness push on button P and follow
the example in Fig 20. Remove any slack in the harness and make sure that they
are not twisted in any way. To release the harness push the red button at the
centre of the buckle.
Group 2 stage from 15 – 22 kgs (Fig 3)
WITH BACKREST
To use the car seat as a group 2 stage (for children of between 15 – 25 kgs) it is
necessary to remove the 5 point harness, and use the seat belt guide along with
the vehicles 3 point seat belt.
REMOVING THE HARNESS
To remove the harness release parts F & G from part
H (Fig 21), turn upside down and remove parts Q & R pushing through the slots
situated in the seat unit of the car seat. (Fig 22).
