All AC circuit breakers must be OFF before starting this procedure. Failure to do so can
result in serious injury and equipment damage.
ALERT
Do not proceed with turn up if any voltage is not correct. Turn down all power and contact the
applicable maintenance authority. Do not continue with turn up until the problem has been
corrected.
The following special tools and test equipment are required to complete the steps of this and
the following sections involving AC and DC power turn up:
•
Digital Multimeter (DMM), 0 to 100 VDC, 0 to 300 VAC (Fluke Model 8060A or
equivalent)
•
Thermometer (ambient air temperature)
•
Torque wrench (with sockets)
•
Set of SAE box wrenches (or adjustable wrench)
•
Screwdriver, insulated (GC Electronics type 8728A or equivalent)
•
Screwdriver, small, flat-bladed
•
Pliers, wide nosed
6.3.2 To turn up AC power, perform the following steps:
Step 1:
At the cabinet, open the power end chamber door.
Step 2:
At the external power cabinet, open the exterior door and the load center (breaker
box) cover. Set the main AC circuit breaker ON to apply commercial power to the
cabinet.
Step 3:
At the AC end chamber, open the load center cover.
Step 4:
Set the main circuit breaker CB1 to ON. Set circuit breaker CB4 (15 amp) to ON.
Step 5:
Refer to Table A for a list of AC circuit breaker assignments.
