Description
C1X
Horizontal extractor and exhaust on the wall. The inlet and outlet terminals must
be concentric or sufficiently close (maximum distance 50 cm) so that they are
exposed to similar wind conditions.
C3X
Vertical extractor and exhaust on the roof. Inlet/outlet terminals as for C12
C5X
Separate extractor and exhaust on the wall or roof, in areas of different pressure.
The extractor and exhaust must not be on opposite walls.
C6X
Extractor and exhaust with separate certified tubes (EN 1856/1)
B2X
Extractor inside the installation place and exhaust on the Wall or roof
IMPORTANT – THE LOCATION MUST HAVE APPROPRIATE VENTILATION
.
To connect th
e separate pipes, fit the following initial accessory in the unit:

Before installation, check the diaphragm intended to be used and check that it
does not exceed the maximum length permitted, using a simple calculation:
1. Design the whole system of separate chimneys, including the accessories
and outlet terminals.
2. Consult table 5 and determine the losses in m
eq
(equivalent metres) for each
component according to the position of the installation.
3. Check that the sum total of losses is lower than or equal to the maximum
length permitted in table 4.

3.6 Solar system operation mode
At the unit's cold water inlet there is a contact thermostat (set at 45°C) for
controlling the solar system water temperature. This thermostat prevents lighting
of the burner when the inlet temperature is higher than the set thermostat
temperature.
A thermostatic mixing valve must be installed at the DHW outlet to prevent water
at high temperatures from being drawn.
4. SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
All adjustment, commissioning and periodical inspection operations described
below must only be carried out by Qualified Personnel (meeting the professional
technical requirements of the current regulations).
FERROLI
declines any liability for damage and/or injury caused by unqualified
and un- authorised persons tampering with the unit.
4.1
Adjustments
Gas conversion
Conversion to a gas different from the factory setting must be
done by and authorised technician, using original parts and in
compliance with the regulation in force in the country of
installation.
The unit can work on natural gas or LPG and is factory-set for use with one of
these two gases, as clearly shown on the packing and data plate. Whenever the
unit has to be used with a different gas, the special conversion kit will be
required, proceeding as follows:
