Getting Connected and Installing Drivers
What is a driver?
A “driver” is software that transfers data between the UM-3G and application software
running on your computer, when your computer and the UM-3G are connected. The driver
sends data from your application to the UM-3G, and from the UM-3G to your application.
Here we will explain how to install the driver when using a single UM-3G unit.
You can simultaneously connect up to three UM-3G (or UM-3EX) units via USB to a single
computer.
For details, refer to “Connecting Multiple UM-3G (or UM-3EX) Units” (p. 38).
* Depending on your system, factors such as CPU processing speed and the performance of your
hard disk, memory, and software may make it impossible to use two or more units
simultaneously.
Caution when making connections
Make the appropriate settings of the [MODE]
switch and [UNIT] switch before you connect
the UM-3G to your computer.
* Do not change the setting of the [MODE] switch or [UNIT] switch while the UM-3G is
connected. Before changing the setting of the [MODE] switch or [UNIT] switch, you must first
disconnect the UM-3G from the computer, change the setting of the switches, and then
reconnect the UM-3G to your computer.
