Switching-off the instrument

In order to switch the equipment off, you press and hold the function key for approx. 6
seconds. However switching of the equipment off is not possible from the setup menu in
this way.

The measuring instrument can switch off automatically, if the function for automatic
switching off is active (see section menu of the measuring instrument).

If the battery conditions are so low that in fact it could come to errors during the
measurement the equipment will automatically switch off, which is signaled earlier with the
message „battery empty”.
Practical tips for the user
The air flow through the cover of the sensor

The air humidity and air temperature sensor are behind a plastic cover. It is very important that
this cover is not covered. This ensures free air circulation and associated precise measurements.

The air humidity and air temperature sensor need time, in order to adapt to the new measuring
conditions. Before switching on the measuring instrument in a new environment, one should
wait 2 minutes. This time can be shortened by gentle moving of the measuring instrument,
which will force the air flow in the sensorcover.
●
One of the most important tasks of the measuring instrument is it to measure the dew point. If
the temperature of the assistance of a thermal element checked surface is lower or very similar
to the dew point temperature, it can come to the process of condensation of water on the
surface. This danger is signaled by an acoustic signal and by flashing the dew point value.
