Daily cleaning
•
Remove the drip-tray (Fig. 11); empty and rinse it out.
•
Remove the water tank (Fig. 10); empty and rinse it out.
•
Raise the lever and remove the capsule holder (Fig. 1); rinse it out.
•
Do not put hands in the capsule compartment and do not move the lever at the same
time: danger of injury due to mechanical moving parts.
NB
: Traces of the product just dispensed may remain in the machine’s circuit. To
retain the full taste of the beverage it is advisable to do a quick rinse when dispensing
milk, chocolate or instant drinks. Rinsing
is done using a cleaning capsule (supplied) and pressing any button (
A
,
B
or
C
).
It is advisable to carry out this procedure at least once a week.

Descaling

cycle, as illustrated below.
The machine has an advanced program that monitors how much water is used to
dispense products. This measurement lets the user know when the machine needs
a descaling cycle.
Make sure to use Caffi taly System descaler, which is designed to respect the machine's
technical characteristics, in full compliance with consumer safety. The descaling
solution must be disposed of according to the manufacturer's directions and/or the
regulations in force in the country of use.
CAREFULLY
read the precautions given on the descaler package. Avoid contact
with eyes, skin and the surfaces of the machine.
Do not turn the machine off or raise the lever during descaling. A person must be
present during the operation.
Do not use vinegar: it could damage your machine!
•
Turn the machine off, unplugging it (Fig. 13).
•
Remove and empty the water tank (Fig. 10).
•
Mix the contents of a bottle of Caffi taly System descaler with approx. 750 cc. of water
(total 1 litre) and pour into the tank (Fig. 4).
•
Raise the lever and remove the capsule holder (Fig. 1).
•
Insert the supplied cleaning capsule in the capsule holder
(Fig. 2).
•
Insert the capsule holder fully and close the lever (Fig. 3).
•
Place a container (at least 250 ml) under the dispensing spout (Fig. 9).
•
Plug the appliance in to switch it on (Fig. 13), and
press the buttons A and B at the
same time within 5 seconds.
