2.3.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The flue must be smoke-tight. It must develop vertically without obstructions, made of materials resistant
to fumes and condensation, insulated and able to withstand normal mechanical strain (we recommend

flues in A/316 or refractory material
with round double insulated
chamber). It must be clad externally
to avoid condensation and reduce
the smoke cooling. Keep it away
from fuel or easily inflammable
material, protected by an interspace
or insulating material. Check the
distance given by the flue
manufacturer
according
to
UNI10845. The flue inlet must be in
the same place as the stove or in
the next room. Under the flue inlet
there must be a chamber for
collecting solids and condensation
to which access can be gained by
means of a watertight metal door.
Make an expert check the efficiency
of the flue and, if necessary, it is
compulsory to place a sleeve over it
using material compliant with
UNI10845. No auxiliary suction
devices can be fitted along the flue
or on the chimney.
2.4.
HEIGHT-DRAUGHT
The draught of a flue depends on
its height too. Check draught with
the values given (
paragraph 9.4,
Minimum height 3.5 metres.
2.5.
DIMENSIONS
The internal section of the flue may
be round (the best solution), square
or rectangular (the ratio between
internal sides must be ≤1.5) with
filleted edges with minimum 20mm
radius. Section size must be
minimum Ø120mm, maximum
Ø180mm.
