15. Forming the Capacitor
When your flash is new or when it has
not been used for a certain period of
time, the capacitor may have lost its
full potential to store electricity.
When this occurs, you can “form” the
capacitor as follows:
1. Switch on the RF60 in Local mode
with fresh batteries.
2. Adjust the flash to full power.
3. Allow the ready light to glow
15 seconds to 20 seconds first.
4. Fire the flash using the
button.
5. Repeat steps 3-4. After a
sequence of 5 flashes, your
capacitor will be formed and work
as normal.
