Moving the cursor to an entry under PU Name and pressing a supported function key
gives you these additional options:
[PF6]
Config
– will display a screen of parameters for that line, and allow you
to change the values of some parameters. See "Line Configuration
Panel" later.
[PF7]
Act
– will activate the line.
[PF8]
Deact
– will de-activate the line.

Configurable Parameters
ISTATUS
will cause the line to be enabled (if
ACT
) or disabled (if
INACT
) the next time the node
undergoes IPL. The line will remain in that state until either an on-line port disable or
enable is performed on the Cabletron device (as described in the User Guide) or a
VARY INACT
or
VARY ACT
is sent from the NetVIEW manager.
NRZI
is the inverse of the parameter NRZ in the SNA Port record in the Cabletron device.
The setting determines the level of data encoding:
No
= NRZ, which means that 1 represents high-level encoding and 0 is low-level.
Yes
= NRZI, which means that 1 represents no change in level and 0 is a change.
CLOCK
is equivalent to the Cabletron device parameter
Generate Clock
, which specifies
whether the port will generate the clock necessary to synchronize traffic over the link.
