Set up the device only in dry locations protected from splash water.
Lift the labelling system out of the box.
Check the labelling system for damage which may have occurred during transport.
Remove foam transportation safeguards near the printhead.

Connecting the Device
2.3.1
Connecting to the Power Supply
Check that the device is switched off.
Plug the power cable into the power connection socket (24).
Plug the power cable into a grounded socket.

Connecting to a Computer or Computer Network

Attention!
Inadequate or no grounding can cause malfunctions during operations.
Ensure that all computers and cables connected to the device are grounded.
Connect the device to a computer or network by a suitable cable.

Switching on the Device
When all connections have been made:
Switch the device on at the power switch (25).
The device performs a system test, and then shows the system status
Ready
in the display (1).
