RMC NMEA Sentence
GPS Recommended Minimum Specific Data
The RMC sentence identifies the UTC time, status, position, speed over ground (SOG),
course over ground (COG) UTC date, and magnetic variation of the position fix.
Example:

A = Valid
V = Warning (the ‘V’ character is output whenever the C-Nav GPS
Receiver suspects something is in error or wrong)
