8.5 Replacing the sensor
WARNING!

Burn hazard for eyes and skin
►
Only start up the unit with the black protective
gland nut on.
►
Never look into the open sensor socket whit-
hout integrated glow plug or sensor.
►
Wear personal protective equipment (protective
goggles).
● Switch off the unit with the main switch.
●
Unscrew and remove the sensor plug.
●
Unscrew the coupling ring (2b) of the sensor window (2a) and pull
out the sensor (2).
●
Moisture can reduce the sensor signal.
●
Any moisture on the sensor window must be removed with a clean
swab (e.g. cotton bud).
●
Insert the new or re-calibrated sensor.
●
Tighten the coupling ring hand-tight.
●
Plug in the sensor plug and screw back on.
8.6 Replacing the sensor window
● Switch off the unit with the main switch.
●
Relieve pressure on the stainless steel radiation chamber (1) and
drain it completely.
●
Unscrew and remove the sensor plug.
●
Remove the sensor window (2a) and clean the glass pane to remove
deposits.
●
Inspect the O-ring (2c) for damage and replace as required.
NOTICE
Jamming of the thread
►
Prior to installation, treat the thread of the sen-
sor window and O-ring with a suitable lubricant
(anti-seize).
●
Screw the sensor window back in.
●
Plug in the sensor plug and screw back on.
●
Fill the stainless steel radiation chamber (1) and then bleed it.
