8.2 Cleaning the emitter casing tube Bewades

Loosen the 2 screws of the blue protective cap (12).
●
Remove the protective cap and pull the plug (11) from the UV emitter.
●
Remove the UV emitter (10).
●
Unscrew the emitter casing tube lock (9). Undo the threaded joint (7)
and remove the emitter casing tube (5).
●
Clean the emitter casing tube with a soft cloth. If required, an acid
(e.g. citric acid) or a solvent (e.g. ethyl alcohol) can be used.
●
Re-insert the emitter casing tube (5) (follow the lower guide in the
radiation chamber).
●
Push the O-ring (6) over the emitter casing tube and secure the th-
readed joint (7) and tighten it using the spanner from the accessory
bag.
●
Ensure that the O-ring is in the correct position and that the emitter
casing tube is slightly loose at the bottom of the unit.
●
Attach the emitter casing tube lock (9) and rubber washer (8) and
tighten hand-tight. Do not tighten emitter casing tube lock fully (the
emitter casing tube is pushed against the rubber washer when pres-
surized).

UV lamps must not be touched with bare
hands!

Use cloth gloves!
►
Fingerprints burn into the glass and can lead to
failures. Fingerprints must be removed with a
cloth soaked in alcohol before installation!
►
The minimum burning time of the radiator is
10 min. A shorter duty cycle leads to interfe-
rence (the radiator no longer ignites).
●
Insert the emitter (10) and connect with the plugs (11) of the blue
protective cap (12). Ensure that the plugs are inserted properly.
●
Attach the blue protective cap (12) and secure it with the screws.
● Open the shut-off valves and bleed the unit. (Some models are
equipped with automatic bleed devices).
●
The unit is now ready for use.
8.3 Cleaning the emitter casing tube Bewades
200W, 390W, 600W
●
Loosen the 2 screws of the blue protective cap (12).
●
Remove the protective cap and pull the plug (11) from the UV emitter.
●
Remove the UV emitter (10).
●
Unscrew the tensioning screw (7) with the support ring (8). Remove
the emitter casing tube (5).
●
Clean the emitter casing tube with a soft cloth.
●
Push the O-ring (6) approx. 40mm over the top of the emitter casing
tube (5) and re-insert the emitter casing tube (5) (follow the lower
guide in the radiation chamber).
●
Tighten the tensioning screw (7) and support ring (8) hand-tight and
tighten further using the special spanner from the bag of acces-
sories, if necessary (a small gap remains between the tensioning
screw and the cover of the UV unit).
●
Insert the emitter (10) and connect with the plugs (11) of the blue
protective cap (12). Ensure that the plugs are inserted properly.
●
Attach the blue protective cap (12) and secure it with the screws.
● Open the shut-off valves and bleed the unit. (Some models are
equipped with automatic bleed devices).
●
The unit is now ready for use.
