Setting the water hardness
The hardness of drinking water measured on site
and the required outlet water hardness is entered
here.
Information about the outlet water hardness
The Trinkwasserverordnung (German drinking
water ordinance) stipulates a sodium limit of
200 mg/l. The limit has been set this low so that
people on a low sodium diet can still consume
drinking water and use it for cooking.
Reducing the hardness of drinking water by
1°dH increases the sodium content by 8.2 mg/l.

x 8.2 mg/l = increase in sodium content.
