OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SWITCHED ON
Before turning on the appliance, perform the “Leak Test” in a well-ventilated area (outdoors). In the first
use and after each replacement of the LPG bottle, the gas circuit of the appliance must be purged of the
internal air before turning it on! To do this, turn the control knob anticlockwise clock to the on position and
hold for 1 minute before attempting to turn on.
1 - Make sure that the LPG bottle, with a full capacity of 4/5 of its capacity, contains the correct LPG Gas
(see Technical Data on page 2). Turn the regulator valve to the “ON” position and close the tank com-
partment panel.
2 - Make sure the burner control knob is in the “OFF” position.
3 - Press the control knob and keep pressing while turning to the left to the corresponding Maximum
position (large flame). At the same time, press the power button (star). The pilot flame will light auto-
matically.
4 - When the burner is lit in the Maximum position (large flame), stop pressing the ignition button (star)
and keep the control button pressed for more than 30 seconds to heat the thermocouple (FSD); then
release it (the first ignition usually needs more time, because the gas circuit is full of air).
5 - If the burner does not stay lit, wait 5 minutes, and then repeat steps 3 and 4.
6 - The burner is now lit at the Maximum position (large flame).
7 - Adjust the heat input by turning the knob from the Maximum position (large flame) to the Minimum
position, as appropriate.
8 - After lighting, turn the knob from Minimum to Maximum position (large flame) and back, to check the
stability of the flame.
9 - In case the flame goes out accidentally (due to wind or other reasons), the FSD will cut off the gas
supply automatically (FSD = Flame Safety Device), no more than 60 seconds.
Note:
The burner can be noisy when initially lit.
To eliminate excessive burner noise, turn the control knob to the Minimum position and back.
To turn the device off
1. Turn the appliance control knob clockwise to the “OFF” position.
2. Turn the LPG regulator knob to the “OFF” position.
3. Let the appliance cool down before moving it (at least 30 minutes).
Restart
1. Turn the control knob to the “OFF” position.
2. Wait at least 5 minutes to allow gas to dissipate before attempting to relight burner.
3. Repeat the “power on” steps.
LEAK TEST
Never check for gas leaks with a flame or while smoking.
This appliance should be checked periodically for leaks and immediate verification is required if gas odor
is detected.
Prepare a soap solution using 1 part liquid dish soap to 3 parts of water.
The soap solution can be applied with a soap bottle, brush or rag.
