Care & Maintenance

Make sure vehicle’s gearbox is in neutral or park and start vehicle’s engine and allow to idle.

OPTION A - Air Compressor:

Inflate XJack by connecting an air line to the valve inlet – Do NOT leave unattended.

OPTION B - Vehicle Exhaust:

Firmly press rubber cone end of hose over vehicle’s exhaust pipe end, making sure the hose has

no kinks.

When X Jack is partially inflated (just touching vehicle) turn  off air compressor/engine and ensure the X Jack is squarely in
position and clear of sharp edges and hot areas. Check to see if protective mats are correctly positioned –
See Note 1 below.
Restart air compressor/engine and continue to inflate X Jack until wheel is clear off the ground, then turn off air compressor/
engine. Do NOT inflate beyond required height or exceed 68.9 kPa (10psi) – X Jack does NOT need to be fully inflated for

recovery.

It is important to lower the vehicle by slowly turning the hose anti-clockwise to deflate X Jack. Ensure not to deflate too
quickly or it will cause a rapid deflation of the X Jack resulting in an uncontrolled lowering of the vehicle.

Note 1:

If X Jack does not achieve an upright position or is not positioned correctly during inflation process, stop operation.

Deflate X Jack – see Step 5 Lowering Operation then repeat Step 4 after realigning X Jack.

Note 2:

If the X Jack does not inflate, check the exhaust system for leaks.

Note 3:

Do NOT over inflate. If X Jack reaches full inflation (i.e. 10psi) or stoped lifting the vehicle, STOP operation.

Note: DO NOT get under a raised vehicle.

Note:  Ensure all body parts are kept clear of vehicle whilst deflating.

If the X Jack exhibits any of the above discard the X Jack.

After recovery, ensure vehicle is stationary and secure. Remove recovery equipment.
Inspect X Jack for damage before packing. If damage noted, please do not use. Contact our office on the number stated
below for further advice.

Ensure X Jack is not stored in direct sunlight or wet / humid environments.

Do not expose X Jack to any petroleum-based products, acids or alkaline products

Clean X Jack in warm water and allow to dry in the shade. (Always ensure X Jack is dry prior to being stored).

Always inflate and deflate the X Jack several times after purchase to prolong the life of the X Jack.

Always inflate and deflate the X Jack several times at 3 months intervals when it has not been inflated. Inflating and
deflating the X Jack regularly not only prolongs the life of the X Jack, it also allows you to familiarise yourself with the

X Jack and its functions.
