Charging an iPod / iPhone / iPad

When an iPod / iPhone / iPad is docked, the iPod / iPhone / iPad will begin to charge 
automatically.
Notes:
The iPod / iPhone / iPad will charge when the speaker dock is connected to mains 
power, including in ‘Standby’ mode.  Charging will stop when your iPod / iPhone / iPad 
is fully charged.  (Check your iPod / iPhone / iPad display). 
If you use a cover with your iPod / iPhone / iPad, please remove it before attempting to 
dock your product. 

Playing from a docked iPod / iPhone / iPad:

You can use the controls on your iPod / iPhone / iPad as normal when it is docked with 
your speaker dock.
Adjusting the volume
• 

To increase the volume:   Press the ‘Vol +’ button on the top of the speaker dock.

• 

To decrease the volume:  Press the ‘Vol -’ button on the top of the speaker dock.

Note:
If you experience problems with playback from your Apple product, please ensure that 
it has been updated with the latest software version

Aux in mode

Using the Aux in socket on the back of the speaker dock you can connect an external 
sound source with a Line or Headphone analogue output to play through your speaker 
dock. 
These may include -
• 

iPod, iPhone or iPad models that cannot be docked to the unit

• 

MP3 players

• 

CD or tape walkmans

• 

Personal computers or laptops

Connecting to the Audio Input jack

In Aux in mode, connect a 3.5mm Audio Input cable (not included), between the 
headphone or LINE/AUX output of the personal audio player and the Aux in socket on 
the back of the speaker dock.
To gain optimal volume levels, adjust the output volume level on both the external 
secondary device and on your speaker dock.
