Battery Replacement 

Handset

On the back of the handset remove the battery cover by pressing down the top of the 
cover & sliding it down.

 

Remove & unclip the old battery & replace with a new PP3 9 

volt battery.

 

Receiver Unit (located under burner)

  

Remove the heat shield surrounding the unit. Pull the receiver unit out from underneath 
the burner & remove the top cover. Remove old batteries & replace with four new AA 
batteries ensuring the polarities are correct. Replace the battery cover & return the 
receiver unit to its original position. REPLACE THE HEATSHIELD over the unit.

 With the exception of battery replacement, the battery holder must be 

located within the heat shield 

at all times

Programming Handset to Receiver 

 

If for some reason the remote handset requires re-programming to operate the receiver follow 
the procedure below: 
 
1.

 

Press and hold, using a pointed object, the receiver’s reset button until you hear two acoustic 
signals.  

2.

 

After the second longer acoustic signal, release the reset button and within the subsequent 20 
seconds,  press  the  (small  flame)  on  the  remote  handset  until  you  hear  an  additional  long 
acoustic signal confirming the new code is set.
