Troubleshooting
Problem
To eliminate the error
Liquid is not pumped.
Bottom valve is polluted. Clean the pump.
If there is only little residual liquid in the container, the pumping must be carried
out for a longer time.
Group I
for use in mining
Group II
for use in other areas subject to explo-
sion hazard
Group IIA Maximum permitted gap > 0.9 mm
Group IIB 0.5 mm < maximum permitted gap <
0.9 mm
Group IIC Maximum permitted gap < 0.5 mm
Zone 0
a potentially explosive atmosphere is
assumed to be continuously present
Zone 1
a potentially explosive atmosphere is
assumed to be occasionally present
Zone 2
a potentially explosive atmosphere is
not anticipated (and if it does occur,
then only rarely and briefly)

Annex
Safe filling
1. Hold the discharge hose in the filling container.
2. Open the shut-off valve
on the discharge hose.
3. Activate the piston rod
by using the handle
and fill off the liquid.
Completing filling and dismounting
1. After the last pump stroke, leave the piston rod in
the lower position and insert it into the pump up to
the stop.
2. Close the shut-off valve on the discharge hose.
3. To prevent any liquid continue to run (siphoning
principle), fix the discharge hose above the liquid
level in the original container.
4. Unscrew the discharge hose.
5. Carefully unscrew the instrument from the cont-
ainer.
6. Rinse the instrument with a pH-neutral fluid.
NOTE!
Ensure to use a fitting thread (see accessories).
`
`
Screw the thread by hand and without any
force.
CAUTION!
A too heavy lateral load can deform the piston rod
and cause a leakage of the pump head.
`
`
Move the piston rod up and down in a straight line.
CAUTION!
Fluid ejection off the filling container. Bodily injury
due to escaping liquid.
`
`
Wear the necessary protective clothing.
WARNING!
Some liquid will continue to run after the
discharge hose is unscrewed. Bodily injury due to
escaping liquid.
`
`
Close the shut-off valve on the discharge hose.
`
`
Raise the discharge hose and allow the liquid to
run back into the container.
