Perform the
X.TUNE
automatic adjustment
WARNING!
Risk from changing the valve position when executing the
X.TUNE
function.
If
X.TUNE
is operated under operating pressure there is an
acute risk of injury.
▶
Never execute X.TUNE
when a process is running.
▶
Secure the system against unintentional activation.
NOTE!
Faulty adjustment of the controller may occur if the pilot
pressure is incorrect or the operating pressure is applied to
the valve seat.
▶
Always
execute
X.TUNE
in case of pilot pressure (pneumatic
auxiliary power) present in later operation.
▶
Ideally, execute the
X.TUNE
function
without
operating
medium pressure to prevent interference as a result of flow
forces.
→
Unscrew the 4 screws on the housing lid and remove the
housing lid.
To execute
X.TUNE
the positioner must be in AUTOMATIC
operating state
(DIP switch 4 = OFF).
→
Start
X.TUNE
by pressing key 1 for 5 s

LED 2 flashes at 5 Hz. The device is in NAMUR functional inspection
state, LED 1 lights orange.
If X.TUNE has been successfully complete, the NAMUR state
is reset. The changes are automatically adopted in the memory
(EEPROM).
If LED 1 lights red after X.TUNE:
→
Execute X.TUNE again.
→
Perform device restart if necessary.
