Adjacent walls
To install this hob securely, you must cut
out a hole in the kitchen worktop with the
dimensions shown in figure 3.2 for the hob
to sit in. Before you do this, make sure that
you have enough space in the surrounding
area of the worktop for the hob to be placed
safely by making sure these clearances are
met:
· There must be a clearance of at least
30mm between the bottom of the hob that
sits inside the cut out and any other
appliance or internal shelf below.
· Make sure there is a distance of at least
500mm between the hob and any adjacent
walls or cupboards.
· There must be a distance of at least
750mm between the hob and any wall
cupboard or extractor hood that is
positioned above (See Figure 3.1).
· If you are installing the hob above a
cupboard or drawer you must place fire-
proof insulation (separator) between the
base of the hob and the cupboard or
drawer.
