1.3 Connections
1.3.1 Connection to a chimney
Bullerjan
®
stoves of the series B³ can be
connected to a chimney to the rear or to the top.
The not uses nozzle is closed with a cover.
The respective diameter of the connection pipes
for the stoves is 15 cm.
The connection piece between the stove and the
exhaust gas system should be as short and
straight as possible and laid rising. Connection
points are to be sealed off. At least one cleaning
opening should be available to clean the
connection piece.
The connection pieces must be cleaned in the
event of soiling, but at least once during and after
the heating period.This can be done with an ash
vacuum cleaner.
1.3.2 Chimney
Bullerjan
®
stoves B³ Keramik and B³ Keramik
MAX need a chimney of their own. If necessary
and approved by your chimney sweep, these
stove models are suitable for the multiple
configuration of chimneys.
We can only assure operational safety and the
nominal heat capacities of Bullerjan
®
stoves if
sufficient measurements of the chimney in
accordance with DIN EN 13384 has been proven
and certified by your professional chimney sweep
Draught of the chimney
:
Avoiding insufficient draught:
Regardless of the results that a chimney calcu-
lation program outputs after entering the present
values, it has to be taken into consideration that in
the cold state the chimney should exhibit a basic
draught /under pressure in the amount of at least
5 Pascal (Pa).
In the event that the basic draught is too low, flue
gas can ingress in the installation room, in the
course of the initial combustion.
Avoiding of excessive draught:
The maximum draught that the chimney exhibits
during the heating operation must not exceed
16 Pascal (Pa). Insofar as the draught is too high,
the wood burns too quickly and the stove cannot
unfold its full heating and environmental qualities.
Furhtermore, an excessively high draught in the
chimney may result in damage of the stove.
For the regulation of the draught of the chimney,
we suggest an automatic draught regulation
located between the stove and the chimney.
Please contact your authorized retailer or
chimney sweep.
Please note:
If you run multiple fireplaces at the
same time, special ventilation requirements must
be taken into account. Please ensure in this case
a controlled ventilation of fresh air by opening
windows and doors regularly.
Cleaning the chimney:
The chimney must be regularly by a chimney
sweep, normally once per year.
The Bullerjan GmbH can only warrant the
operational reliability and the stated thermal
performance of the B³ Keramik, insofar as
sufficient fire technical dimensioning of the
chimney is confirmed by calculation according to
EN 13384
.
The fire assessment has to be made according to
DIN EN 13384 with the triple of values indicated
in the following table.
