3 Installation and Connecting
The device must be installed by authorized trained staff only, familiar with the safety requirements and
risks.
Check all relevant safety regulations and technical indications for the specific installation place.
DANGER
Toxic and corrosive gases / fluids
Protect yourself during maintenance against toxic / corrosive gases. Use
gloves, respirator and face protector under certain circumstances.
Make sure that the float can move freely and keep sufficient distance to walls and other installed
equipment.
If the float had been re-installed make sure that the magnet inside the float is positioned above the surface.
You can check that easily by using a piece of iron to locate the float.
The mains voltage is connected to connector S6 or M12, respectively. Nominal voltage of devices is
24 V DC.
Please refer to the mounting dimensions and pin assignment in the appendix.
The switching outputs are designed as PNP transistor outputs (see figure).
Note:
If the switching output is measured with high-impedance measuring equipment
or if the frequency output is used, connect a 10 k
Ω
resistor between output
and ground to avoid faulty measurements.
