(Part 1 of 2).

Disconnect TPS connector [88]. Measure voltage between terminal “3” (R/

W) wire (+) and terminal “1” (BK/W) wire (-) with Ignition Switch ON.

Does voltage measure 5.0 volts +/- 0.25 volt?

Turn Ignition Switch OFF. Disconnect ECM connector

[11] (Gray). Check for continuity between connector

[88] terminal “3” (R/W) wire and connector [11] (Gray)

terminal “24”.

Is continuity present?

Check resistance between

ECM connector [11] (Gray)

terminal “4” to chassis

Ground.

Is resistance greater

than 1.0 megohm?

Check continuity from

connector [11] terminal

“4” to connector [88]

terminal “2”.

Is continuity present?

Check continuity between

connector [88] terminal “2”

(V/Y) wire and connector

[11] (Gray) terminal “4”.

Is continuity present?
