parameters of each screen (e.g. through the different wavelengths). The value of a parameter can be
increased or decreased by using the UP and DOWN buttons. If a button is held down for more than
0.5 seconds the automatic repetition will start, if it is held down for more than 3 seconds, the repeti-
tion will become faster. This feature is mainly thought for adapting the values for the wavelengths.
By pressing the ENTER button a value is stored. By pressing ESCAPE it is possible to leave any menu
and switch back to the main screen.

The start up screens
During start-up of the detector an intro screen, showing
Version Bnd date of the instrument firmware is displayed
for a few seconds.
After start-up is completed and all parameters are
restored according to the last settings, the idle screen,
showing the state of the detector and the operating
hours of the lamp, is displayed.

Switching the lamp on / off
The lamp can be switch on or off using the
LAMP
button on the keypad of the detector.
Note
When switching the lamp off, an additional dialog has to
be confirmed with the
ENTER
button.

Measuring / Zeroing
While the lamp is on, the measuring screen shows the
wavelength and absorbances for all channels. Using the
ZERO
button an autozero procedure can be performed.
Note
There is no progress shown on the screen while the
autozero procedure is performed.

5 .5 .1 Wavelength
Within this menu the wavelength for all available chan-
nels can be set.
