This chapter introduces the reader to the instrument and its specifications. It contains the scope of 
delivery, technical data, requirements and performance data.

3 .1 

Scope of application and delivery

The UV-VIS Detector C-640 is available as powerful detector for the Sepacore system. It can be used 
in conjunction with the SepacoreControl software, connected to the C-620 control unit or without the 
use of the software, connected to the C-660 fraction collector.
The instrument can measure the change of the absorption behavior of a sample at four selected 
wavelengths in the range of 200 to 840 nm.
In conjunction with the SepacoreControl software it is also able to scan the whole range of the spec-
trum continuously.
The scope and completeness of delivery can be checked according to section 3.1.2 Standard equip-
ment. After unpacking please check the instrument and all accessories thoroughly for any damages!
