Contraindica ons
Read through the following list carefully. If you fall into one of the groups of people listed, do
not
wear the
b2go or discuss wearing it with your doctor before you do so. If you are unsure, you should always consult
your doctor.
■
b2go must not be used by children (under 18 years of age).
■
b2go may not be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental abili es or a lack of experience
and / or knowledge.
■
The following groups of people must not wear the b2go:
Pregnant and breas eeding women
Asthma cs
Epilep cs
■
Do not wear the b2go if you have serious malocclusions and jaw abnormali es that make it impossible
to wear a normal dental splint.
■
Do not wear the b2go if you have large gaps in your teeth with at least two consecu ve teeth missing
in the area of the premolars.
■
If your cheek area is too small (e.g. if a boiled sweet causes discomfort in the cheek area), you should
refrain from wearing the b2go because you will
fi
nd the splint uncomfortable and bothersome.
■
If you have excessive sensi vity to touch (hyperaesthesia) in the cheek area, you should not wear the
b2go.
■
Do not wear the b2go if you know you are allergic to one of the ingredients of silicone.
■
b2go must also not be used:
if you have serious di
ffi
culty breathing (e.g. asthma, colds, coughs)
while you are being treated with a de
fi
brillator
if you are using
fl
ammable anaesthe cs and gases
if you are under anaesthe c
in strong electromagne c environments

in the case of body implants (excluding dental implants), for example heart pacemakers, de
fi
brillators,
hearing aids, insulin pumps
if there is an elevated risk of obstruc ve sleep apnoea syndrome
if there is an elevated risk of Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (“UARS”)
