OBSERVATION
POSSIBLE CAUSE
PROCEDURE
Oil tank level does not display.
Requires input from oil tank sender.
Each oil tank uses an outboard position-spe-
cific converter.
Engine water pressure does not
display.
Requires input from a water pressure
transducer.
If using a block-mounted water pressure trans-
ducer, use
Evinrude Diagnostics
software to
set
EMM
.
Water pressure faults after initial
setup.
Water pump is faulty.
The block-mounted water pressure sen-
sor is not connected to the engine
EMM
.
The
NMEA 2000
network water pressure
sensor is not configured properly.
Engine
EMM
is not correctly configured
for the water pressure sensor.
Verify operation of water pump.
Check the connection for the block-mounted
water pressure sensor at the engine
EMM
.
Replace the NMEA 2000 water pressure with a
known good component.
Use
Evinrude Diagnostics
to verify the water
pressure sensor setting.
ICON
instrument display is erratic.
Power supply battery voltage is less than
12.5V.
One or more terminators are missing
from the
NMEA 2000
network.
Check for a minimum 12.5V across the termi-
nals of the power supply battery.
Check for installation of two terminators on the
NMEA 2000
network. Check network buss
cable and device connections.
Gauge repeatedly reset to factory
defaults.
If this occurs during heavy power use,
possible poor battery condition exists.
Check system supply battery voltage with
engine running. Check Ignition and Ground
connections on pins 4 and 5 of the tachometer.
