Tilt air filter cover to expose air filter.
Pull filter out.

NOTE:
The presence of some oil in
the air filter area and housing is normal.
Clean as necessary.
Air Filter Inspection
Inspect air filter for cleanliness and
damage.
NOTICE
It is not recommended to
blow compressed air on the paper
filter. This could damage the paper
fibers and reduce its filtration ability
when used in dusty environments.
NOTICE
Do not wash the paper fil-
ter with any cleaning solution.
Replace air filter as necessary.
Air Filter Installation
Carefully install air filter into position.
Properly position air filter cover then
secure with all clips.
Reinstall parts in the reverse order of
their removal.
Engine Coolant
Engine Coolant Level Verification
WARNING
When opening the reservoir, the
coolant can be very hot and spray
out if the engine is hot. In order
to avoid getting burned, check the
coolant level when the engine is
cold.
The cooling system must be filled with
distilled water and antifreeze solution
(50% distilled water, 50% antifreeze).
For best performance, use the BRP
PREMIXED COOLANT (P/N 219 700
362).
With the engine cold,
check the
coolant level as follows:
1. Park the vehicle on a firm, level sur-
face.
2. Open the front storage compart-
ment cover.
3. Remove the plastic rivet from the
right service cover.
